Story

I'm taking on the Walk 30 Miles in September challenge to support families facing dementia across the UK. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving them compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions that can be difficult to find elsewhere. * Share your personal story - why have you chosen to support Dementia UK by taking part in the Walk 30 Miles in September challenge?

My dear mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2016. She sadly lost her battle with this cruel disease in August 2020. My poor dad was also diagnosed with vascular dementia and he also lost his life to this terrible disease back in 2014.

If I can make a difference to the people living with dementia and their loved ones who suffer incalculable pain, my challenge will have been worth while.

Please donate whatever you can afford to help bring an end to the suffering.
