Running the Manchester marathon for a charity close to my heart

Manchester Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021 ·
I wanted to do a challenge for st Anne’s hospice in memory of
my beautiful dad Alan Trueman who lost his battle aged 59
My brave sister in law Vanessa Trueman who lost her battle aged 36
& the most beautiful brave boy Alex Boyle who lost his battle aged 19
All went too early but I appreciate the love & support they were shown by st Anne’s hospice & East Cheshire hospice
For this I started training for the Manchester marathon last year, I reached the 20 mile mark in training then the marathon was postponed, this year I’ve had an injured hip so thought there was no way I’d be able to attempt the marathon! Along came some inspiration & support from my lovely Bollington Harrier friends who told me I could do it! So after only running max 6miles in the last year I have managed to reach the 20 mile training mark! & my marathon is next Sunday 10th October
I’m not going to be the speediest but am grateful to have the ability to attempt this challenge & show my support for st Anne’s hospice & love for the people I’ve lost 💗
