Story
Nowadays most people have sadly been affected by cancer either directly or indirectly. Recently I have joined the majority and someone close to me is suffering with this brutal disease.
This person will be losing their hair and I did not want them to go through it alone so I have decided to join them and raise money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Care by 'Braving The Shave' and shaving all my hair off. The grade I will use on my hair will be determined by the donations, so the more money donated, the shorter the shave (even to BIC).
Kelly, my friend and colleague will also shaving her head too, like the masses, she herself is affected indirectly by cancer, having close family member suffering with it. Supporting Kelly as a friend and keen to join in raising money and awareness is Lou Dunne, who will be chopping the locks on the 6th October too...
Lynn, another friend and colleague will also 'Brave The Shave' as she has seen first hand from a proffesional perspective how cancer affects lives of those suffering and the families and friends around them.
The big shave will take place on Friday 6th October 2017 at 6pm in Sirs Only Barbershop in Hedge End if any one wishes to come down and show their support. There will be a raffle, cake sale and other activities going on that day.
Any donations received will be going to the fantastic support and care these nurses provide.
Wish us luck
