On 18th March 2017 at the grand old age of 41 and much to the distain of my long suffering husband I'll be stepping in to the ring for the first time to take part in a charity white collar boxing event in Middlesbrough to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

I have chosen this event firstly because Cancer Research UK is a charity close to my heart having lost my dad to bowel cancer in 2000.  Cancer Research UK receives no government funding so every penny raised by fund raising (pestering.....sorry)  is vital to help towards finding a cure for all 200 cancers. 

Secondly I may have lost the plot or perhaps in the throes of a midlife crisis. Whatever the reason after 12 months out through injury this event will push me physically and mentally beyond anything I have ever attempted before. 

So whether you donate in support or you just like the thought of me having my nose bopped it would be greatly appreciated.
