Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2014 I had the pleasure of teaching a very special boy, Oliver Gerbery. He was funny, friendly and a real personality. He loved to play teacher and was really after my job! When Oli had some time off from school we had no idea how seriously ill he was. Tragically, Oli had a very aggressive form of cancer called Burkitt Lymphoma and after putting up a very brave fight he died on June 25th 2016. Oli was six years old. His amazing family have suggested that I raise funds for The Henry Allen trust who supported them when Oli was poorly.
I am taking part in the super sprint triathlon which is a 400 metre swim in a lake 13 km bike ride and 3km run. I would love to be able to reach my target amount to help other families in similar circumstances. No amount of money can change a diagnosis but if it can make a child's last few months more bearable or support a grieving family then it is worth every penny.
Thanks everyone!
