We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. At the end of September, Claire and I will be taking part in the Run to the Beat Half Marathon, raising money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). The RNIB is the UK's leading charity offering information, support and advice to almost two million people with sight loss. Their pioneering work helps anyone with a sight problem with imaginative and practical solutions to everyday challenges.
The RNIB is a cause important to both of us. Towards the end of his life our Grandfather began to lose his sight, and during this time the RNIB provided invaluable support and advice. Since he sadly passed away the RNIB have continued to provide support to our lively 93-year-old Nana, including taking her on day trips, which gives her the opportunity to met and socialise with new friends.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
P.S. If you don't think a half marathon is hard enough then Nicola is also participating in a Sprint Triathlon two weekends earlier!

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
