Welcome to our #TeamDementiaUK campaign for the Cardiff Half Marathon 2021. We have a huge team of amazing supporters who will be stepping over the iconic Welsh start line this March - all to support Dementia UK and our wonderful Admiral Nurses.

Story

I'm taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon 2021 (postponed to 27th March 2022) to support families facing dementia across the UK. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving them compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions that can be difficult to find elsewhere.

I sadly lost my Nan and close family friend David Barlow and it is simply awful to lose that person that you love whilst they are still here. I have only ever done one half and didn’t particularly enjoy it so I really need all the help and inspiration I can get and raising money for this awesome charity will really help - Thankyou xxxx
