Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

January 2017 my husband told me he thought he was suffering with depression, he stood up like the courageous man he always has been, and admitted to me he had a problem. He was diagnosed with clinical depression and has sought support through GP prescribed medication and therapy sessions available through the NHS, stepiau.org, and his workplace. He's been very open about his condition with family, friends and work, and he has sometimes been met with indifference and ignorance and some very harsh judgements.

I want to raise as much money to help anyone with mental health issues to be able to come forward and get help without stigma or prejudice, or feel judged because their illness isn't physical or visible. Mostly though, I'm running for my husband, the bravest man I have ever met, and it's the only thing I can do to feel like I'm helping.
