Heswall Disabled Children's holiday fund is a charity that began 60 years ago in Cheshire. Each year it runs a free, week long residential holiday for disabled children in the North West of England, which is a fantastic experience for the children, whilst providing invaluable respite for their parents.

In 2020 I became involved with the charity and we ran our very first camp in the South West, at Barton Camp in Winscombe, in August 2021. We shall be doing the same again in 2022.

In order for both camps to continue to run each year, the charity needs to raise funds through fundraising events and grants. This is why I am pushing myself to my absolute limits and running 13 ridiculous miles around Weston sea front in March. I firmly believe if you're going to doing something for charity you need to step out of your comfort zone and do something you ordinarily wouldn't do. I can categorically say this is not something I would ordinarily do, so please, if you can spare a few pennies could you take a moment to sponsor me, I would really appreciate it.
