Story
A team of Social workers in North Manchester are taking on an October challenge where we each walk virtually up and down Mount Everest. This equates to walking over 116,000 steps each in 28 days (we set it up slightly late so dont have the full 31 days!). We are doing this to improve fitness, get people more active but also want to raise funds for an amazing service who we really rely on to help us support children and families in our area throughout the year. They help provide children and families with much needed support. Any help or donations would be greatly received so thank you in advance.
WeLoveMCR are one of the many charities who've been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, as this year they've had to postpone some of the biggest fundraising events weve ever attempted, including a firewalk in the heart of Manchester city centre and a massive wave of bees in the Manchester 10K! This means tens of thousands in potential lost donations, and endangers their ability to continue providing support to Manchester people and groups who need it most.
