Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running this year in memory of our mum, who was the closest of friends as well as the kindest and most supportive of mother's . She died last year after a long battle with cancer. So sad to see such a strong and resourceful woman reduced by illness, operations and chemotherapy. But her bravery was inspiring.

She loved the outdoors and physical challenge, and I have no doubt that my running adventures stem from her influence. I'll draw on her undoubted support in those last few miles of the marathon, when everything hurts and the finish line seems utterly out of reach!

In her last months, mum was supported by carers from Crossroads. Without them, we would not have been able to cope and care for her at home, which was her most abiding wish.

So please dig deep. This is a charity that deserves your support and fulfils such a vital function supporting the carers of sick and terminally ill relatives.

I'll run as fast as I can, but PBs are nothing compared to the value of your donation.
