Most of us know someone who has gone through the daunting diagnosis of cancer and the gruelling treatment that often comes with it. After a 5 year battle with ovarian cancer, I lost the most special person in my life, my mum. It's almost been 6 months and I still can't quite believe she's gone and I miss her each and every day. Those of you that knew her saw how she fought every step of the way with such positivity and never lost her love of life. She defied all doctors predictions of her survival time and part of that was due to the wonderful treatment she received at the Royal Marsden Hospital. I am eternally grateful for the care she received that gave us extra time together. I would greatly appreciate anything you are able to sponsor in aid of further research into the diagnosis, treatment and cure of this awful disease and supporting such a worthy hospital.
