I am running for Children with Cancer UK, a charity very close to my heart as my daughter's friend, Sam Hanson, sadly died just a few weeks before his 8th birthday. On Sunday 23rd April I will be running the London Marathon for the 4th time. The poignant thing about this London Marathon, is that it would have been Sam's 12th birthday on the day of the race.

Children with Cancer UK support research to find kinder treatments and continue the search for a cure for this awful disease. No child should have to suffer such horrific treatments in their quest for survival, and no family should have to watch their child suffer or die. 

Sam's motto, 'Never Give Up' is now my motto not only for running, but for life. The wisest words from someone so young. Rest in peace Sam, forever in our hearts 💛🎗️
