Story
On 2nd October I will be running the London Marathon in aid of Meningitis Now. This November it will be 10 years since we lost my amazing sister Olivia to Meningitis, at the age of 30, so I want to run the marathon again in her memory. I'm running with two main aims:
1. To raise money for Meningitis Now, which is a fantastic charity supporting research into this catastrophic disease, and supporting those who have been affected by it. As with many charities, Meningitis Now has had a tough few years, and no government funding, so I'd love to do my bit to boost its coffers.
2. Just as importantly, to raise awareness of the symptoms of Meningitis.

Please check out this website to make sure you are aware of the symptoms, and that it can affect people of any age. One of my close friends in her late thirties was recently hospitalised with meningitis; it is an ever-present threat for people of all ages, despite great progress with vaccines.
Many of you were generous enough to sponsor me when I ran the Marathon for Meningitis Now in 2019. If you can, and would like to, please do donate again. You will be supporting a cause close to my heart, and your donation will help save and change lives now and in the future. But in particular, please do take a minute to refresh your memory of the symptoms of Meningitis.
With many thanks,
Nick.
