We provide wheelchairs and equipment to improve lives of young wheelchair users

Story

Whizz-Kidz is a remarkable charity that transforms the lives of disabled children by providing them with customised mobility equipment, training, advice and life skills. Many disabled children struggle with standard NHS kit, which can be unwieldy and increase reliance on adults. The customised equipment Whizz-Kidz provides, however, dramatically improves mobility, giving children the chance to be themselves, increasing their independence, and enabling them to interact on equal terms with their peers. Whizz-Kidz supports this transformation with wheelchair skills training programmes and counselling.

All of this, of course, costs money. The average cost of providing customised mobility equipment is £5,900 and this is not usually met by the NHS. If you read how Whizz-Kidz changes the lives of hundreds of children across the UK (see http://www.whizz-kidz.org.uk/aboutus/meetthekidz2/), you'll soon realise this is a small price to pay.

In truth, this is such an excellent cause, I shouldn't need to be running a marathon to persuade you to contribute. But I am, along with nine Accenture colleagues from the CRM team, so please give generously.

Many thanks
Nick
