On 13th September I will be taking part in the Virtual Great North Run 2020, 13.1 mile, half marathon along with thousands of other runners.

I am hoping to raise much needed funds for The Lilac Centre, part of St. Helens hospital, who treat all types of cancer patients locally including a huge number of breast cancer patients. One of the devastating side effects of chemotherapy is hair loss and for most women is the hardest to deal with. Luckily, the centre has 4 head cooling machines which prevent this in most cases.

But 4 is not enough and I hope to raise funds to go towards helping to purchase more of these very expensive  but vital machines, as they have a huge emotional and positive outcome for the women who need them.
