Story
Monday 19th April
Well I did it, with a time of 4:55:19
It was a fantastic race with brilliant support from, my family, and thousands of complete strangers,
it was a hot day and tough from mile 22-24, I managed to keep running.
My legs are stiff and I can only get downstairs by walking like a crab, thankfully today I was able to soak in a friends hot tub (thanks Diane)
A big thank you to everyone who sponsored me
love from Nicki
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am going to run the Brighton Marathon (26.2 miles) on Sunday April the 18th 2010
It is my 1st ever marathon (and maybe my last) I ran my 1st half marathon last year and have been training since Christmas for this one. Training has been going pretty well, no real injuries just general aches every where, after 3 miles my legs start working again. My last long run (18 miler) was yesterday along Bournemouth promenade in the snow!
My sister Amanda (left on the photo) is also running ,to raise money for Guide dogs, she is older than me but is much faster!
I would like to try to raise some funds for Beaucroft Special School in Colehill, Dorset.
Samson AKA Billy has been attending the school since 2003 and he is a very different child now, much more physically able, and his speech improving all the time along with his general learning. Ofsted awarded Beaucroft an outstanding report, it is a fantastic school, the teachers are positive and supportive, they believe in the children and go the extra mile to make things happen.
The Friends of Beaucroft are a registered charity made up of parents, teachers and friends they assist the school by raising funds and holding social events ( e.g. summer BBQ, bingo evening) Contributions have been made towards the swimming pool, musical instruments, trikes, bikes and a new student kitchen.

If you are able to sponser me for this event I would appreciate it and so would the children, thankyou very much, Nicki
