Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

William James Davis (aka Captain Chaos) was born in August 1999.  At first he seemed healthy but after a few months he was diagnosed with a genetic condition called Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC).  The diagnosis devastated our lives but the specialist care and treatment that we received from GOSH over the past 15 years has been outstanding. TSC is a multi system disorder that has severely affected William with tumours in his brain, eyes, kidneys and now he is over achieving by developing the lung disorder that goes with TSC (the one that only affects females of child bearing age!!!).  He has uncontrollable epilepsy , ASD, ADHD, Extreme challenging behaviour and Global developmental delay but is the funniest boy alive and makes us laugh and cry in equal measures.

William is cared for primarily by the Neurology team at GOSH as his epilepsy is one of his biggest problems.  He has now undergone two lots of neurosurgery without which he would not be here today and still takes a cocktail of medication to keep him alive.

I am doing the Prudential Ride 100 cycle event to raise money for GOSH as a way of saying thank you for all the love and specialist care that they have given William over the past 15 years and so that they can continue to treat children and give the families hope.

Please give generously to this fab charity.
