Story

If you can see this, you have been bullied by either me or one of my accomplices into sponsoring me for the Bath Half Marathon.  There are two very good reasons why you should sponsor me, and sponsor me lots; one of which is far more important than the other.  See if you can guess which:

1)  I'm overweight and lazy, and running 13 and a bit miles is likely to be the most painful thing I've ever done.  The more money you donate, the more I'll have to pay the charity myself to make up for backing out in fear, minutes before the event.

2)  I'm running for the Stroke Association who are a very worthy cause.  Two people very close to me have had major strokes in the past 12 months, and, whilst both are recovering well, I've been educated into just how much damage a stroke can do to you.  Strokes (or 'Stroke' as it's apparently pluralised), are the third most likely cause of death, so it's no niche thing.

The Stroke Association "aims to reduce strokes through research and health education and also help and support people and their families who have been affected by stroke".  Donating through this site is quick, easy, totally secure and is recommended by the Stroke Association themselves, so there is no way of your money making it into the wrong pockets!

Thanks for taking the time to read this and please sponsor me now!  The Bath Half is very soon, so don't click away to do this later, act now!
