We are taking part in the Great North Run on 18th September 2011 in aid of a local charity called 'When You Wish Upon A Star'.

The charity makes some very special wishes come true for some very brave and courageous children with life threatening or terminal illnesses.

Wishes can range from meeting a favourite celebrity, to a trip to Disneyland, to meeting Santa at his home in Lapland. They could even be as simple as a new outfit or a laptop to help with school work.

Many of the parents that the charity supports will never see their beautiful little boy or girl grow up, which is why we want to raise as much money as we can to make as many wishes come true as possible.
