Story
This year marks our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We were married, around six weeks earlier than planned, in the chapel at St Luke's Hospice as my Mum was an inpatient receiving palliative care at the time; she died peacefully at home around six weeks later.
Just like 10 years ago, plans we made in January are not quite coming together as we'd envisaged.
To mark our anniversary this year Siobhan and I had planned to complete the Welsh 3000's - a roughly 25 mile route over Snowdonia's 16 3000 ft mountains - raising money for St Luke's Hospice. As events have unfolded this has become an increasingly unrealistic goal and even recreating the event by repeatedly climbing the front steps to our house is, sadly, not going to be achievable with two small children to entertain.
So instead we have another idea! I have not had a haircut since before lockdown began (see profile picture) and my lockdown locks are beginning to draw some attention. Please make a donation to support the fantastic work of St Luke's Hospice and leave a comment either "Cut it" or "Keep it". Whichever gains the most 'votes' by midnight on our wedding anniversary (2 July if you needed a reminder! 😉) will be duly respected - I will clipper my hair off or I will keep my lockdown locks until at least 21 August - our second wedding anniversary!
