I've decided to run an Ultra Marathon this year - the Lakeland 50.

"The Lakeland 50 is one the greatest ultra running and walking challenges in Europe, perhaps the world. The Lakeland 50 is a huge challenge, it requires commitment, drive and the ability to 'just keep going' when most folk would 'just rather not'."

Several friends have already very generously offered significant sponsorship - aware of the effort I'll be putting in running at night up hills over the next few months as training.

As a trustee of "Village By Village" I've have been out to Ghana to see first hand the difference made by this grassroots charity. It would be great to see an end to the 100 village development goal this year - and to this end please donate, allowing basic sanitation and running water to be provided for our friends in rural Ghana.

Don't forget to sort out the "Gift Aid" bit - this adds a lot extra!
