What we’re doing
Monday 20th September sees the start of our journey by bike from San Sebastian on the Atlantic to Perpignan on the shores of the Mediterranean.
We'll be ascending 13,500 meters, over nearly 700 km and taking in some of the more scary looking cols of the Tour de France including Tourmalet, Aspin and Aubisque.
There won’t be any support van to take our stuff so we’ll be carrying everything. Plus, to keep the carbon footprint down, I’m taking an overland route starting with a bus from Deddington Market Square, then trains to Oxford, London, Paris and Hendaye.
Why I'm supporting the World Land Trust?
Well, if David Attenborough has decided to become Patron for a small outfit based in a sleepy Suffolk village while he's busy appearing at the UN and negotiating deals with Netflix, then they must be doing some good stuff.
