Hello, hope this day finds you well, or at least hopeful and inspired.
My name is Nick and I have been blessed in life to reach my 50th birthday back in 2010. Sadly, in April 2011, I lost a younger cousin, Julian at the age of 40. More recently I also lost my father-in-law Chris in July 2012 age 68. Both were lost to cancer.
I have a strong Christian faith and I believe my family members are now stars in the firmament, but also much sooner than they should have been. Cancer still touches my life now with some friends and family currently living with and of course others sadly already lost to this dreadful disease. This page is dedicated to their memory too.
The same God I believe in has given me a talent for singing and I have lived to date through some great years in popular music - the 60's, 70's and 80's! I really enjoyed busking in the not too distant past when I lived in Cambridge (the loose change I made really helped with the electricity meter in my flat). So I decided in June 2011 to register with Cancer Research as a busker - doing something I really love and do something really worthwhile at the same time!
The generosity and kind comments, in response to my busking, from strangers and friends alike have been delightful and encouraging. Long may this continue.
My hope is to develop this fund and profile raising with continued opportunities including planned gigs as and when possible. I will use this page to announce these, when known and in the meantime continue with spontaneous busking, by kind permission of course.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Every blessing,
Nick
