Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Odyssey.
I've had the pleasure of working as an instructor on a number of Odyssey courses and I was inspired by the heart warming positive impacts the courses I was involved with had for people living with, or recovering from cancer. Odyssey recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary and I'm proud and honoured to have spoken at their big event to mark this amazing achievement. This is because they're a small charity with big hearts, who from time to time have found it challenging to keep their courses running with limited funds.
The positive effect Odyssey has offered to hundreds of people, is life enhancing and enduring.
On the 28th August 2022 (my 59th birthday), I set off from Tobermory in my sea kayak to slowly explore as much of the wonderful coastline of Scotland as I can before returning to Tobermory on the 28th August 2023 (my 60th birthday). I will be kayaking solo and unsupported with the aim of camping out every night of the year. This will be my most adventurous challenge to date and I hope I offer inspiration through it.

In 2018 I fundraised for Odyssey by successfully solo kayaking the '3 Peaks', 520 miles from Fort William to Aberdovey, ascending Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon on the way.
You will find up to date information about me and my adventures on my website: lifeafloat.co.uk.
