Story
By the time I start the CCC14, I will have been Chairman of Ay Nik Cycle Club for over 18 months. This will be the second CCC that I have organised, and the second CCC that I have taken part in. The event sees riders new to cycling in September 2013 reach a standard of which they can be extremely proud. More experiences riders take part to make their mark on Day 3 - climbing Mt Troodos. At almost 2,000m above sea level this is no mean feat, and including foothills, total ascent for the day is over 3,500m!! The record ascent is 3 hours 36 mins - I will be a long way from that, but will set my sights on a sub-five hour target. With a little over 5 months to train for this event it might just be possible.
