Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm not really sure how I got myself into this as it's all a bit of a blur but some time ago at a weak and vulnerable moment, I was talked into doing a triathlon.  I know what you're thinking "OK, sounds tough but people do triathlons all the time and live to tell the tale".  This is true, but sadly this is not just any old triathlon, it's the BIG BEN NEVIS TRIATHLON.

It's on 10th September 2011 and consists of the following gruelling events:

1.9km swim in a sea loch

90km (yes 90km ~ 56miles) off road mountain bike

...and finally a hop and a skip up to the top of the UK's highest mountain and back again (21km run).

Why? Well, because it's there...but also to support Cruse Breavement Care.

As you may know, my brother-in-law Andrew, Ronnie's eldest brother, tragically died last year.  The whole family has been devastated by his loss and everybody has been dealing with it in different ways.

A friend told Ronnie about the charity Cruse Bereavement Care which is staffed by volunteers.  They aim to provide free counselling to people who have lost a loved-one and need help to come to terms with it at what can be an extremely challenging time.  Ronnie has benefited hugely from this valuable service and despite there being no magic cure she, like many others, has taken comfort from the help they offer.
