Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
45 years ago, my mum sadly passed away from secondary spread cancer that began as breast cancer.
To mark this anniversary, I've decided to raise money for Against Breast Cancer, a locally based charity, and was going to take part in the Thames Path Challenge, a 100km continuous walk from Putney Bridge to Henley. Unfortunately though, due to the Covid situation, the organisers have had to cancel this year's event.
However, I still wanted to mark the anniversary, so have decided to walk the same distance along the Thames Path, but this time split over 2 days and in 2 directions. The 1st day I aim to walk from Lechlade to Oxford and the 2nd day from Reading to Abingdon.
Against Breast Cancer funds research into new treatments, tools for earlier diagnosis and advice to reduce the risk of recurrence and secondary spread. Whatever you feel able to give will be very gratefully received.
