I am doing the Bike ride to raise money to make a big difference but also want to get fit and have a great time doing something I have wanted to do for years.

To ensure I am going to achieve this goal over 4 days in July 2019, I am training hard now and doing over 60 miles each weekend and by Easter be at 100 miles each weekend, all ready for the big event.

Every penny donated will go to Action Medical Research.

At Action we save and change children’s lives through medical research We believe that the diseases that devastate the lives of so many of our children can be beaten. We have been funding medical breakthroughs since we began in 1952 like the first polio vaccines in the UK, ultrasound in pregnancy and the rubella vaccine – helping to save thousands of children’s lives and change many more.

Surprisingly medical research to help children is poorly funded in the UK. Action Medical Research has a critical job to do in helping fill this gap to protect children. The prospects for finding new cures and treatments are almost within our grasp. We have vital research ready to go – we simply can’t fund it all.
