I was keen for the Regiment to embark on a truly challenging event that would involve both Regular and Reserve personnel and inspire supporters to donate vast sums of money to support what is an extremely important and relevant charity.

This is not going to be easy.  We've already lost two of our principal organisers and most experienced team members (one to commitments and the other to a broken wrist (or so the RSM says...)) so the team is relatively inexperienced.  The weather will probably be our worst enemy, closely followed by the topography: one thing is for sure it's going to be bloody difficult.
