Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and my nephew, Ben Moore, are participating in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 mile cycle ride on Sunday 31st July in memory of my much loved and missed daughter Ellie Loades who lost her hard-fought battle with Cystic Fibrosis in November 2013, aged just 16 years.

Ellie spent an enormous amount of time in Great Ormond Street Hospital and their excellent medical treatment and care helped to prolong her life.  She was also on their organ transplant list but became too ill before a suitable donor was found.

We will always be extremely grateful for the medical expertise, care and love given to Ellie and the support given to us to allow Ellie to live an enriched life in the short time she was with us.

We are hoping to raise as much money as possible to show our gratitude to Great Ormond Street Hospital through the Ellie Loades Brighter Future Fund, set up in memory of Ellie, so that Great Ormond Street Hospital can continue to provide medical expertise and support to other sick children and their families.
