Story
In 2017 my father became suddenly unwell and within a matter of days passed away from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. I took up running very soon after, in order to improve my own health. After completing a Couch to 5k course (and losing 5st in the process!) I joined a running club, and in October 2019 I ran the Cardiff Half marathon, raising funds for LATCH, a local children's cancer charity.
My love for running and fundraising has continued and this year I became Chair of Porthcawl Runners, the Club that supported my running journey.
Leukaemia Care is a national charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. Around 34,000 people are affected by blood cancer each year in the UK and we're here to support them through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
