Story
Many of you will know I was diagnosed some years ago with MDS, a relatively rare form of blood cancer. Fortunately for me it is not aggressive, (for others it can be very aggressive) although it does impact significantly on my red blood cells and consequently my energy levels.
Riding the length of Portugal in 5 days (150km per day) would be a big challenge without MDS, with it is an even bigger challenge!
MDS support does some amazing work supporting people with MDS, their families and carers and like most small charities has suffered a huge loss of income during the pandemic!
I appreciate not everyone can donate but you could do something even more amazing - you, or if you are not eligible, your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews could join the bone marrow register and potentially save the life of someone with blood cancer. Joining the register is easy https://www.dkms.org.uk or www.anthonynolan.org
