A year long dryathlon. · 1 January 2014

We are the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We help people out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether.

Story

Anybody that knows me knows that I enjoy a drink. Or two. Or thirty. The fact that I work with alcohol in both of my jobs as a DJ and marketing specialst for a beer festival production company means the temptation and ease of sneaking in a cheeky drink while I work is incredibly easy. But I'm giving it all up for twelve solid months.

When I suggested giving up alcohol for January's "dryathlon" people laughed in my face and told me I wouldn't last a week. They were probably right. So I decided to up the ante and actually give myself a reason to stop.

So... I am giving up ALL alcohol for Crisis. This includes my 31st birthday, any holidays I may take and an entire summer of sun, BBQs and garden parties.

Any donations would be hugely appreciated as this is potentially the most difficult thing (apart from coffee) that I could ever sacrifice.

*UPDATE: My father was my first donator and the first person to believe I could actually achieve it. I tragically, completely unexpectedly, lost him just a month later, so my drive to complete this absolutely soared through the roof.
