In 2 weeks' time (11 Sept) I’m doing Stage 2 of the Ride Across Britain – that’s from Ludlow in Shropshire to Hamilton in South Lanarkshire.  It’s a 3-day ride that I’ve been drafted into as a replacement for another rider, so I’ve had minimal training and preparation time.  I think I’ll just have to wing it and see what happens.  I’ll be riding the stage with a team from Alternative Networks and my friend (their Chief Strategy Officer) Jim Sewell will be riding the whole distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats.  Rather him than me!

Of course all our suffering is in the interests of charity.  The recipients are Restless Development, who run fantastic youth development programmes world-wide.  Please donate if you are able to.
