I was lucky enough to meet the inspirational David Chaplin at a fund raiser in London a few years ago.  He and his family set up Rwanda Aid, a Charity that has had the most incredible, positive impact on many Rwandan children's lives.  David, a retired Headmaster, works many months in Rwanda with the various projects.  His is a hands on approach.  The charity is volunteer based and running costs are kept low, so you know your donations are going to the heart of the problems.

Rwanda Aid works in the remote south west region of Rwanda, in the districts of Rusizi and Nyamasheke.  Here the people are not only struggling from the aftermath of the genocide in 1994, but they also face desperate poverty. 

Rwanda Aid believes in empowering people at the grass roots level so that they will be able to forge a better future for themselves and their country.

Rwanda Aid brings hope and relief to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged, especially children and young people. They help people to build a more secure and prosperous future for themselves and their community by supporting education, training and enterprise.
