Story
Inspired by the story of Ed Jackson. Reef and I have decided to do exactly what Ed has requested and that is to hit the outdoors!
Ed was a very promising top class professional rugby player representing Bath, Wasps and Newport Gwent Dragons during his career but in 2017 he tragically broke his spine which left him paralysed from the neck down, doctors told him he could possibly never walk again. Ed began immediately with his own rehabilitation using positive mind set with huge amounts of grit and determination to get moving again. With small steps at the start leading into bigger steps, taking on personal challenges such as climbing Snowdon leading him onto his toughest challenge yet. He intends to walk the Pennine way which is a total of 268 miles, an able bodied person would normally take 3 weeks to achieve this but Ed intends to do it in 2!
The Two Moors way is something that my father and I talked about walking for many years, sadly all we did was talk about it but now I have a chance to walk it with my own son and hopefully raise some money for Ed’s charity at the same time. We will be starting on the 31st August and finishing on the 6th September. I know many people are going through some difficult times financially but please donate if you can no matter how small the donation.
Many thanks Nick & Reef.
