Dad proudly served during the second World War as a mid upper gunner flying in Lancaster bombers seeing active duty. In his later years he shared some of his experiences with his children and the church. He grew to be very proud to wear his blazer with his squadron badge and visited Wickenby, where he flew from, at the memorial services.

He even began to accept the term 'Hero' which we always regarded him to be.

It is fitting that we donate to Help the Heroes in his memory
