Running 100 Miles

Firstly, thank you to everyone who sponsored me for the GB Marathon Relay in 2012. Unfortunately due to a lack of runners the organisers shortened the route and changed the dates of my leg to a time when I was still in the middle of the Atlantic (quite annoying when I'd booked flights and got you all to sponsor me {don't worry though beacuse the money still went to the same place}.)
I've taken the liberty of hijaking this page for a different challenge, one that I wasn't initially doing for a good cause but more because I liked the idea of trying to run 100 miles in a day. Someone suggested that this a horrible enough undertaking that it would be a shame not try and do some good with it rather than just incuring severe nipple chafe and blisters.
The race I have entered is called the Winter 100 and involves tryng to run 100 miles around the Oxford region on October the 18th 2014. I don't imagine its going to be easy but loads of normal people do manage this sort of thing all the time and i'm planning to practice by running shorter diatances before hand which apparently makes it easier. If you want to sponsor an individual mile then there's plenty to go around and I'll try and do you some sort of personal twitter message or text from that mile on the course to let you know how horrific/ euphoric I'm finding it. I imagine miles 50 through to about 99 will be particularly grim, although there's the risk my phone will be dead by then or just that I won't have a clue where I am.
