Story
On Sunday 19th June I will be attempting to complete the Dragon Ride, a brutal 160 km ride with 2396 m of climbing through the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains in Wales. I am doing this to raise money for a wonderful charity which I am involved with called the Lords Taverners which does incredible work with disabled and disadvantaged children and young people through sport.
The Taverners fantastic Super 1’s, Table Cricket and Wicketz programs are designed to break down barriers and empower disabled and disadvantaged young people to fulfil their potential. These programs are offered across the UK and beyond for people with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities. I have seen first-hand how it helps these young people to develop their confidence and life skills to help them overcome the challenges they face, raise their aspirations and reach their potential
Any donation you can spare will help provide more opportunities for disabled young people to access sport and all the benefits it can bring while making new friends, learning team work and breaking down barriers. Please, please, give what you can, it really will make a huge difference to these children’s lives.
You can see the incredible impact that these programs have in these short videos:
