Story

Hi guys, I am running the Birmirmingham Half Marathon  in memory of Tom Mole aged 14. Tom was a friend of my Son’s who attended Old Swinford Hospital. Stourbridge. Sadly,  last year aged 14 - April 2018, Tom was admitted to hospital and suddenly died of a rare illness- Auto Immune Disease called HLH . This disease is rare. Sadly Tom ended with cells that destroyed his immune system and tragically damaged his organs ; unfortunately Tom passed away. Please help me raise vital funds in memory of Tom so that we can get a diagnosis quicker.  Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases. Thank you.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
