Fundraising for Hospice UK
A group of 5 of us are attempting to walk 100km from London to Brighton (nonstop) in under 20 hours. Doing it as a team doesn’t mean we walk less distance! Each member will still have to complete all 100km but taking part as a team should make it more fun and help keep spirits high. Although we are walking together we have individually chosen different charities to support and mine is Help The Hospices.
Help The Hospices support numerous Hospices in the UK including Garden House Hospice in Letchworth. As my Mum has worked at the Letchworth Hospice for over 20 years I have already taken part in a number of fundraising events. I have also spent some of my free time to help the volunteer staff improve the gardens at the Hospice so that patients and families can enjoy them during the summer months.
Both Garden House Hospice and Help The Hospice are great charities which provide support and end of life care for patients. To continue the fantastic job they do, Hospices must rely on people giving up their free time to fundraise and work voluntarily. So dig deep and make my 100km challenge even more worth while J
