NICHS do important work in preventing chest, heart and stroke illnesses in Northern Ireland and in providing care for those already affected by them. Harry and Matthew are delighted to be joining Chris Henry and the other unfit half-wits in climbing the highest peak in North Africa, Mount Toubkal, in aid of NICHS and as part of Chris' testimonial year.
Chris has been a great ambassador for NICHS driven by his own experience of having a mini-stroke (TIA) at just 30 years old, however, we each have our own story to tell in how these illnesses have affected our lives and the personal reasons for raising funds and awareness for this great, local charity.
Harry, "My Granny suffered a TIA a few months ago, she's nearing 90 now so it's tough to manage this as there are many helpful medicines that she can't have due to her age. Luckily, the team were on hand very quickly and helped her make a recovery."
Matthew, "Heart disease affects so many people in Northern Ireland, including close family and friends. My goal over the next few months is to spread as much information about this amazing charity as possible and the good work that they do".
