I’ve not taken on quite such a massive challenge before and it’s been pretty painful so far dragging my middle aged overweight body across hundreds of kms on a bike desperately trying to find some level of speed and fitness to keep up with the others.  But Club Peleton is such a good cause and I’m keen to help in whatever way I can to raise money for those young people who need it. 

Club Peloton (clubpeloton.org) is the charity and real estate cycling community transforming the lives of vulnerable young people. Since 2006, it has given £4.5 million in grants to projects that make a real difference. Cycle to MIPIM is Club Pelotons original endurance fundraising ride that brings together cyclists of all abilities to ride, network and fundraise. Every year, riders from across the property industry complete the 1,438km challenge from London to Cannes, arriving in time for MIPIM, the leading international real estate fair. After two years, during which Cycle to MIPIM was unable to take place and riders instead raised vital funds through their own organised events, virtual rides and Club Pelotons, Cycle to MIPIM is back for 2022. Under the banner of headline sponsor Knight Frank, the 2022 event includes a brand new route and an extra days riding.

So please do give generously - any help you can give will be really appreciated and it will help keep me going - as friends and experienced cyclists have pointed out - it’s a really long way!  I’m hoping some parts will be fun and I’m joining a fabulous group of people from the real estate sector who are giving up lots of hours on the road to help others.
