Story
We have now completed a virtue journey 20,000km from St Albans (UK) to Cox's Bazar (Bangladesh), visiting Oxfam projects along the way. We'll see the challenges communities face from conflict, to Covid-19 to the impact of the climate emergency and how Oxfam is responding to support communities to thrive, not just survive. With your support, Oxfam can continue its life-saving work.
This challenge was completed much earlier than anticipated on 6 March. I still have remaining 170km to complete of my original target of 520km (average of 40km a week over the original proposed timescale of 13 weeks). I now intend not only to complete the contracted 170km, but add a further 400km as I wish my journey to extend to an overland route from Cox's Bazar to Mandalay to join the pro-democracy protest there. My new target is now 920km to be completed by 31 May (new average weekly commitment of 60km).
