In 2011 Princess Alice provided excellent care for Nicky's father Dick and incredible support for the family. Since then they have been absolutely amazing for Mary, my now mother in law! Mary currently volunteers in the library at Princess Alice and has loved going to manshed, where she builds us everything from napkin holders to planters for our mildly successful tomatoes!

This support has been invaluable, and it’s been great for me too see the positive impact it has had on both Mary and Nicky.

For me personally I have been desperate to run the London Marathon for as long as I can remember. It's the best marathon in the world, with an incredible atmosphere, and I am privileged that Princess Alice has given me a place.

My dad's PB stands at 3 hours 35, so I have set myself a goal of beating this and hopefully running sub 3 hours 30! Every donation will motivate me to get my kit on and get out of the house on those dark, cold, wet and windy nights throughout the next 4 months.
