Story
Good day to you!
One hardly needs to look far to see the darker parts of our modern times - a pandemic, war, the struggle to care for our children. Yet it is precisely at times like these that the strength of humanity may be at its' greatest.
We always have a choice; treat another with fear, or with kindness? Will we stand alone, or lift each other up; show those who are suffering that they are not alone. Doctors Without Borders has always represented to me a true distillation of what it means to work in healthcare.
Do no harm, render aid unto others...easy words to say, far harder to live to at times, especially when we ourselves suffer and fear for our safety.
These people seek to help, and that is inspirational in itself; however the point is that those they aid are not alone, and neither are these caring souls. We can make a choice to stand with them, for we are all human, we can all suffer...yet we can also choose to hope for a better tomorrow.
Ladies and gentlemen, I would ask you to join me in that intent. Each single donation is its' own seed of hope for someone who is suffering, and together we can help these people save and improve lives around the world.
Donating through this JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
This fundraiser is happening at the Gerrards Cross: Picnic in the Park Platinum Jubilee celebration, if you happen to be in the area, feel free to come along and hopefully enjoy a relaxing day out!
