Story
Post-race update:
Conditions for the run were very good, and the event was used by three overseas Olympic marathon runners as a warm-up for the London games. I couldn’t quite match their pace (1h 4m being the winning time) but I am pleased to say that I did beat my personal best, finishing in 284th out of 1478 runners and a time of 1:45:13.
Thank-you to everyone who supported me, especially my boss Charlie whose very generous £40 donation gave me significant motivation to run fast! I will match this, but before I do it would be great if we can reach the £500 target. If you still wish to make a donation then my web page is still open.

On Sunday 8 July I will be running the NSPCC Milton Keynes Half Marathon. This will be my first of three half marathons this year, and my tenth over all. To mark this milestone I would like to raise over £500 for the NSPCC, and I therefore call for your support.
Running is painful, and running 13.1 miles is especially so. So if you wish to see me suffer (and I know you do) then please sponsor me.
Not wanting to miss out on a challenge, I am hoping to beat my personal best time of 1h 48m 18s which I set when I was much younger and slimmer. If I am faster on Sunday I will match your highest individual donation. If I am slower I will match three times the amount. So please give generously!
Thanks in advance for your support, Nick.
