Story
We are two racing cyclists from Ilkeston Cycle Club in Derbyshire. Recently a young lady in our club, Evie Hartley, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. We have been set the challenge 'How Far For Evie' and we're attempting to ride 300 miles to Edinburgh Castle in 24 hours.
We'll be supported by our two club mates Matt and Laura Lebelinski. This is a hugh challenge for both of us. We've never ridden this far before in a day but we wanted to push ourselves to try to raise as much money as possible for the charity that Evie has chosen, as they have provided her and her family so much support during this difficult time.
Evie's treatment is going well, but she is keen to give back to the charity that have helped her so much, which is where we come in. So, please dig deep and give generously. This is an amazing charity that has helped so many children and their families, including one of our own clubmates.
We'll be posting updates on social media throughout the day, so you can see how we are getting on, and how much pain we are in!
Some Stats: 306 miles Ilkeston to Edinburgh Castle. 13,825 ft elevation gain.
Thank you.
