Story
Hi guys,
As most of you know, this is a cause close to my heart. For those who are unaware, my father David was diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia in January 2020. Unlike conventional dementia, he is able to recognise family and friends. But he is losing the ability to communicate and move. The patience, character and positivity he brings each day is truly inspiring.
Admiral nurses do an incredible job on a daily basis to help families. But they need more help. Having lived through the process, I know resources need improving significantly. And I want to do my small bit to help. Funding will go towards all manner of resources, but particularly increasing the personnel needed to provide care and sooth the journey families go on.
Being the old git that I am, I've copped out a bit! And split the workload; two half marathons within a month. The first being The Big Half on September 4th and the second The Royal Parks Half on October 9th.
I'd be very grateful for any contribution you could make to help me round the two courses - large or small.
Love and positivity,
Nick X
